  Investigation 1 Oct 04

SPG experienced a lot of phenomena on our first investigation. Most of the activity on the night seemed to concentrate around the Great Hall and Dungeon, although further evidence was gained in other locations. For example, a whistle could be heard in the Folly where one of our mediums picked up a sense of Druids on the land.

The Great Hall was very active with cold spots being picked up, one of our mediums appeared to be affected by the energy in the room and appeared to look tired and drawn on camera for around 10 minutes before returning to normal. A lock off camera was placed in the Great Hall at one point that focused on a nodding dog trigger object we left in the room. Various tappings could be heard - on some occasions emanating from the camera itself. Pin prick flashes were picked up by the camera (something we had not experienced before this investigation but now seem to pick up on most investigations we have done since). Finally the dog's head was seen to be nodding on two occasions.

The Kings Bedroom provided an interesting mix of activity from pattering of children's feet in the middle of the room to dark areas forming in the room and the feeling of foreboding as if someone was towering over the group.

The South Tower provided what is considered to be one of our best pieces of evidence. A photograph taken shows what appears to be the head and shoulders of a person in a window. We have conducted work on this image to establish any natural explanation but as yet have not found a reasonable explanation. We hope to have this picture online shortly.
