  History

The New Inn was opened by 1817. Records show that the pub was used as a meeting place by the United Order of Ancient Druids.

  Investigation

SPG investigated the New Inn in July 2005. The team concentrated on the main bar, beer garden and the Barn, although we set up a locked off camera in the Blue Room on the first floor. Various team members felt drained in the bar area. A man in 19th Century dress, a woman who brought the smell of flowers and two twin girls were picked up in this area. It was also felt that the pub may have originally been a private dwelling, possibly two cottages. Some light anomalies were picked up in the area, the most impressive shows the family dog reacting to the orb that passes him.

The team heard sounds in the barn and a further light anomaly. The beer garden was reported to be very quiet although it was noted that there was no sound of wildlife in this area and several team members felt that someone was watching them from the adjoining field. Two team members reported seeing two separate energies in the window of the Blue Room, although the locked off camera picked up nothing.
