  History

The Jolly Potter public house is found in Hartshill, Stoke on Trent. The pub, originally an Inn, was constructed sometime between 1832 and 1878, although the exact year of its construction is unknown. The property features old stables to the rear and an original Minton tiled floor in the Victoria Ground bar - showing its links with Stoke City Football Club and the club's original ground.
The pub is also home to SPG, where we meet once a month to welcome new members and discuss over a beer or two, the world of the paranormal. We were intrigued how this investigation would unfold due to our familiarity with the pub.

  Investigation

Although the investigation was quiet as a whole the team picked up on several potential spirtual energies that seemed to be mostly centred in the Victoria Ground bar. A man from the 1920s, a father and son and the energy of a Stoker were picked up.
Table tipping was attempted in the machine room which resulted in no table movement.
Although the cellar seemed to affect a lot of the team in a negative way (feelings of sickness or panic) nothing of note was recorded.
One incident of note is the presence of handprint marks on the ladies toilet door. These marks were fresh but are of a height which would rule out being caused by any team member present at the time. A Video clip will be available shortly of this.
